Hanoi attracts 800 million USD in foreign investment
Foreign investment in Hanoi is estimated at 800 million USD in 2010, 1,5 times higher than last year, according to the Hanoi Statistics Office.
Of the 350 projects invested in Hanoi this year, 300 were newly-licensed projects with a combined registered capital of 500 million USD and 50 projects having additional funding with a total registered capital of 300 million USD.
At present, Hong Kong (China is the leading investor with its investment accounting for 37.1 percent of the total registered capital. It is followed by the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Japan.
Meanwhile, the RoK is taking the lead in terms of the number of projects with 67 projects. Japan ranks second with 25 projects.
