Gold prices reach new peak of VND35 million/tael

Gold prices on November 5 set a new record of VND35 million/tael, the highest in domestic gold history, increasing by VND700,000/tael compared to transactions the previous day.

At 9.30am, gold at SJC Saigon Jewelry Company stood at VND34.56-34.8 million/tael, while it was listed by SJC Hanoi Company at VND34.65-34.82 million/tael and by Bao Tin Minh Chau Company at VND34.94-35 million/tael.

In Phu Quy Jewelry and Gemstone Company, the price of gold rose sharply and nearly achieved the level of VND35 million/tael. In Sacombank Company, SBJ gold hovered around VND34.6-34.9 million/tael.

In the world market, the price of gold was transacted at US$1,390 per ounce, showing the sharpest increase in the last six months with an increase of US$20 per ounce.
