Local media trained in Lao securities exchange market operation
Local media have learnt about the basic knowledge on securities exchange market operation of the Lao Securities Exchange Market (LSEM).
The dissemination of the LSEM operation for local media of televisions, radios and newspapers was held at the Lao Journalists' Association, last week.
This is the basic information for local media in reporting news stories about the securities exchange market for the public.
Acting Director of the Initial Public Offer Division, Mr. Bounthavy Sidavong, said that the seminar was useful and provided primary information for state enterprises in Laos that require large fund for investment and the public interested in investing and buying shares and credit shares in the stock.
Dr. Southideth Bounthasay, LSEM staff, has explained the basic information of capital market and progress of the LSEM building in Laos.
Local media have also learnt about securities release, registration, advertisements, capital mobilisation, LSEM bans, economic situation of Laos, importance of the capital market to the socio-economic system and main role in money and capital markets related to securities exchange market.
Mr. Latsamy Souvanthong, LSEM staff, said that the Lao Securities Exchange Market would officially operate for the securities sale and purchase in early 2011.
A company needs to upgrade itself as a public company before the registration in the Lao Securities Exchange Market.
Mr. Latsamy added that the securities exchange market operates at 8:30 am and close at 11:00 am.
