Vietnam, Egypt strengthen cooperation in IT

A Vietnamese delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Nguyen Minh Hong, is currently visiting Egypt to boost bilateral cooperation in information technology (IT) and to learn how to build a centralised IT centre for the future.

During their visit from September 2-8, the Vietnamese delegates worked with the Egypt Ministry of Information and Communications, the Department of Industry and a number of IT centres and businesses in the country.

Both hosts and guests exchanged information and shared their experiences in developing and applying it to the trade, education and healthcare sectors.

The Vietnamese delegation visited the “Smart Village”, which is considered a symbol of Egypt’s modern IT network.

Egypt and Vietnam have many things in common, such as a population size of more than 80 million and are successfully developing many modern IT projects in countries.

Currently, a large number of international IT groups and major businesses are investing in Egypt’s IT sector.
