SBC: Difference of the financial statements of Q2/2010 and 6 months

Saigon Beer Transportation Joint Stock Company (SABETRAN) has explained difference of the financial statements of Q2/2010 and the first 6 months 2010 (audited) as follows:

In May 2010, the state auditing team examined operation of the company under the tour of checking privatized companies. As a result, the team showed that SABETRAN used wrong formula of identifying taxable income OF Q4/2008. The company had to repay corporate income tax with the amount of VND952,059,958 which was reduced 30% in Q4/2008. The issue was presented to the taxation department of HCMC (There has been no final result for the case). The amount was also paid to the state budget.

While making the financial statement of Q2/2010, the company temporarily deducted the amount of corporate income tax in the account of after-tax profit of the previous year. However, after auditing, an audit firm suggested to put the amount in the financial statement of the first 6 months 2010. Therefore, it caused difference of the financial statements of Q2/2010 and the first 6 months 2010.
