Gold prices decline

After rocketing to VND30.9 million per tael on September 27, the price of gold began to drop early September 28 and is hovering around VND30.7 million per tael, a decrease of VND200,000 from the previous day.

In Ho Chi Minh city, SBJ gold bars are priced at VND30.6-30.7 million per tael on the morning of September 28, down VND150,000 from September 27.

The price of the SJC gold, which sold for up to VND30.9 million at 15:00 on September 27, fell to VND30.7 million by the end of the day and to VND30.65-30.69 million on the morning of September 28, a drop of more than VND200,000 for both selling and buying.

In Hanoi, SJC gold was traded at VND30.68-30.72 million per tael at 10:15 on September 28, while Bao Tin Minh Chau’s Rong Thang Long gold was priced at VND30.69-30.75 million at 10:20.
