DVP: Explanation for business result in Q2/2010

Dinh Vu Port Investment & Development Joint Stock Company explained the over-ten-percent difference in business result between Quarter 2/2009 and Quarter 2/2010:

* Output through the port in Quarter 2/2010 increased by 19.39% compared with Quarter 2/2009 (Output in Quarter 2/2009: 874,386.63; output in Quarter 2/2010: 1,043,930.20 tons).

* Because goods through the port are mainly imports and exports, revenue of Dinh Vu Port is mainly in USD. The average VND/ USD exchange rate in Quarter 2/2010 was higher than Quarter 2/2009 and revenue from financial activities rose. Revenue in Quarter 2/2010, therefore, increased by 21.36% compared with Quarter 2/2009 (Profit after tax in Quarter 2/2009: VND23,682,839,971; Profit after tax in Quarter 2/2010: VND28,741,191,790).
