Vietnam has around 7,000 new businesses set up each month

In the first half of this year, the whole country had around 42,000 new businesses set up with a total registered capital of VND250,600 billion, up 0.25 percent in the number of businesses and up 27.8 percent in the volume of capital compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI).

Each month saw an additional 6,000-7,000 business in operation, said the MPI, adding that in February only, the number dropped to below 4,000 due to the Lunar New Year holiday.

Along with an increase in the average level of registered capital, this proved that many investors and businesses have put trust in the country’s economic growth potential.
