Major wood processing plant under construction in Vietnam
Work on a major wood processing plant began in the southern province of Binh Phuoc July 13.
The US$125 million facility, located at the Minh Hung 3 Industrial Zone, Chon Thanh District, is expected to be completed within 24 months, said a representative from the MDF VRG DONGWHA Joint Stock Company.
With the capacity to produce 300,000 cubic meters of medium-density fiberboard (MDF) per year, the plant includes wood and chemical processing plants.
VRG DONGWHA is a joint venture between Korea’s DONGWHA group, a leading wooden fibreboard manufacturer in Asia, and the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group.
