Gas prices continue to sink

Gas prices will drop VND13,000 a cylinder beginning July 1, according to some gas companies.

A 12 kilogram gas cylinder, now down to VND249,000

Retail gas prices of many companies, including SP Gas and Vina Gas now fetch VND249,000 per 12 kg cylinder.

It will be the second straight month to see gas prices reduced by VND13,000,  after having risen to VND275,000 a tank in May.

Le Thanh Dai, General Director of Dai Viet Gas Company, said that the reduction of domestic gas prices is the result of slumping gas prices worldwide, which have lowered 50US$ to 620US$ per ton.
