Vietnamese French trade turnover continues growing

The turnover of two-way trade between Vietnam and France increased by 7.3 percent in the first half of this year compared to last year’s corresponding period.

According to the French customs agency, the Vietnamese French trade turnover reached 621.375 million EUR in the first four months of this year, up 12.49 percent over the same period last year.

The Vietnamese office for commercial affairs in France predicts that trade relations between the two countries will continue to develop in the next few months thanks to a sharp increase in France’s foreign trade.

However, the increase in the two-way trade turnover is mainly made up by Vietnam’s imports worth over US$290 million EUR (up 26 percent), and its exports to France worth 630 million EUR (up 0.77 percent).
