Thanh Hoa calls for more Japanese investment

Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee Mai Van Ninh called on more Japanese investors to invest in the province at a seminar in Hanoi on June 16.

During the seminar, entitled Thanh Hoa – destination for Japanese investors, Ninh said the central province of Thanh Hoa welcomes Japanese investors and wants to receive their capital and latest technology to serve its economic restructuring.

Thanh Hoa now ranks eighth among localities in attracting foreign investment capital with 31 projects capitalised at almost 7 billion USD.

The Japanese are implementing a number of projects in the province, including the Nghi Son cement plant, the Sakurai Garment Company, the Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical complex and the Nghi Son 1 thermo power plant.
