PetrolVietnam plans big investment in electricity center
The National Oil and Gas Group (PetrolVietnam) will spend about VND30,000 billion (US$1,6 billion) to build the Hau River Electricity Center in Hau Giang, a Deputy Chairman of the Mekong province said on May 2.
Deputy Chairman Le Hong Tinh said that the electricity center would include three thermo-power plants with total capacity of 5,200 MW, making it the Mekong Delta region's biggest thermo-electricity center
The project is planned for 2013 - 2021.
