VFC: Explanation for business results in the quarter 4/2009
Vinafco Joint Stock Corporation (VINAFCO) has explained the business results in the quarter 4/2009 as follows:
* Profit before tax in quarter 4/2009 reached VND13.4 billion and profit before tax in 2009 reached VND26.9 billion (149% of the plan). The figures excluded the 2009 additional wage deductions.
* In quarter 4/2009, the company got the good results especially in yard activities, distribution (revenue increased 124% beside quarter 3/2009), shipping activities (Revenue increased 126% beside quarter 3/2009). To reach the results, the company had to control expenses and focus in developing customers.
* Except Vinafco Shipping Company in difficulties, the remaining members exceeded the 2009 targets: VINAFCO International Freight Forwarding and Trading Center reached 213% of the 2009 revenue plan and the profit before tax exceeded 07 times of the 2009 plan; Vinafco Logistics. Ltd. reached 105% of the 2009 revenue plan and the profit before tax reached 140% of the 2009 plan.
* Besides, quarter 4/2009 was the good time for transportation activities.
