Digital signatures provider licensed

The Ministry of Information and Communications issued the Nacencomm Technologies Joint Stock Company a licence to become Viet Nam's second provider of digital signatures and electronic notary services on Tuesday.

Deputy minister Nguyen Minh Hong said: "The licence will raise the number of providers and expand the digital signatures and electronic notary services in Viet Nam."

Digital signatures were now used in many developed countries to ensure the safety for public electronic transactions, he said.

Nacencomm has been approved to provide the services for individuals, enterprises and web sites.

The issuing of the licence is expected to provide socio-economic benefit, ensure security and help Viet Nam enterprises authenticate both domestic and international electronic transaction.

The first licence went to the Viet Nam Post and Telecommunication Group.
