Company doubles plasterboard production capacity
The Lafarge Boral Gypsum Vietnam Company (LBGV) has announced a plan to double its plasterboard production capacity at its factory in Ho Chi Minh City to 20 million sq.m per year.
According to LBGV General Director Peter Edwards, the investment aims to meet the increasing demand for gypsum solutions in Vietnam ’s construction sector, making the company a leading provider of gypsum solutions in Vietnam .
LBGV, a subsidiary of Lafarge Boral Gypsum Asia – a joint venture of Lafarge S.A of France and Boral Co., Ltd of Australia-set up its plasterboard factory in Vietnam in 2006 with an initial annual capacity of 10 million sq.m.
In addition to plasterboard, the company also produces and provides related products such as metal frames and ceiling tiles trademarked LaGyp.
