SCD: Explanation for Q4/2009 Income Statement
Chuong Duong Bevevarages Joint Stock Company explained fluctuations in profit between Quarter III/2009 and Quarter IV/2009:
Total profit before tax in Quarter IV/2009 was VND25,423,235,551, and the accumulation of the whole year was VND41,784,812,904, gaining 137.37% from the 2009 target. The Company also completed other targets.
Profit in Quarter IV/2009 increased by 721 percent from Quarter III/2009 thanks to the following reasons:
* Seasonal factor: sales volume of soft drink often goes up much in Quarter IV and in the months close to Lunar New Year. Change in structure of sales also made revenue in Quarter IV increase more than Quarter III/2009.
* Reducing and adding back the remaining expenses which had been deducted in advance made sales expense in Quarter IV/2009 down by 81 percent from Quarter III/2009, although administrative cost in Quarter IV/2009 was higher than in Quarter III/2009.
* Revenue from financial activities in Quarter IV/2009 was up 194 percent compared with Quarter III/2009.
