Plastic additive plant gets under way in Binh Duong

A wholly-Japanese invested firm inaugurated an environmentally-friendly plastic additive plant in the southern province of Binh Duong on Dec. 8.

The Sakai Chemical (Vietnam) Co. Ltd. plant, worth a total 18 million USD, will churn out stabilizer, an additive which is used to produce PVC plastic.

The plant will also process plastic pipe and insulated cover for electrical wire with an annual capacity of 9,600 tonnes of products.

Sakai group’s President Representative Director Iwao Yabunaka said the plant built in Vietnam is part of the group’s policy to boost overseas production in the coming years.
