HSI: Explanation for business result in quarter 3/2009

General Materials Biochemistry Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (HSI: MF JSC) has explained business result in quarter 3/2009 as follows:

* Total profit after tax in quarter 3/2009: VND1,823,141,055

* Total profit after tax in quarter 2/2009: VND2,502,823,803

Thus, profit in quarter 3/2009 decreased 27% in comparison with quarter 2/2009 because of some reasons:

* That fertilizer materials were imported with high volume for the 2009 winner – spring harvest made material prices decrease and affect inventories.

* Inventory value decreased, affected cost of goods sold and made profit after tax in quarter 3/2009 decrease 27% in comparison with that in quarter 2/2009.
