Boeing issues aviation forecast
Boeing released its forecast on the economic growth and aviation market in the world over the next 20 years at a press conference in Hanoi on November 25.
Boeing Commercial Airplanes Vice Chairman and Director of Marketing Randy Tinseth stressed, “Vietnam is a country where we see a fast growing economy and it is also a country where we see air travel growing even at difficult times.”
“In Vietnam, air service growth since the year 2000 has been substantial. Compare to 2000, there are four times as many seats in the market and nearly 3.5 times as many frequencies,” he added.
Vietnam has a strong base in travel and tourism, contributing about 13 percent of its GDP while the proportion in other nations is around 8 percent.
