On routes to other Asian countries, Vietnam Airlines will double the number of flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok, Thailand, adding one flight everyday for a total of 14 a week.

The airline will add two flights a week out of both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Pusan, the Republic of Korea, bringing the total to 10.

In order to meet the higher demand on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year’s festival (Tet), the airline plans to increase its transport capacity by 20 percent by using bigger planes on domestic routes from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City and from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang city during February 2010.
