Forum to promote role of business circles
How to bring into full play the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the modernisation, industrialisation process and international integration topped the agenda of a forum held in Hanoi on October 10.
The forum is part of activities to mark the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day which will fall on October 13.
Addressing the event, Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc urged that more efforts are needed to improve business environment to enable businessmen to promote their business, enact incentive policies to develop giant entrepreneurs from all economic sectors and assist small- and medium-size enterprises, and build entrepreneur’s culture.
Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Van Nui spoke highly of the businesspeople’s role in the national economy. He said that in the context of economic integration, Vietnamese entrepreneurs should work together for a healthy competition in the international arena.
Meanwhile, Director of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Asia Lee Ju Song affirmed that entrepreneurs are playing an important role to Vietnam’s success, so it is necessary to encourage them to be ready to face risks and go ahead to the success.
The forum also dealt with limitations of Vietnamese business circles such as lack of business managers and professional business strategies. Most of Vietnam’s businesses are working in trade and service with small size, not meeting the country’s development demand.
