UAE firm interested in HCMC elevated highway

Tamouh, a real estate developer from the United Arab Emirates, has expressed interest in investing in an elevated highway construction project in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Emirati firm made the statement fresh off receiving a license to develop a local housing project.

In a meeting with the chairman of the city’s People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan on Wednesday, Tamouh’s Chief Executive Officer Joe Ong said his company would submit a feasibility study on an elevated highway project to the municipal authorities for consideration next month.

The 8.5-kilometer-long Elevated Highway No. 1, which will link Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Tan Binh District to the Thu Thiem New Urban Area in District 2, aims to ease traffic from the airport to the inner city.
