Dairy firm hires quality inspectors
Australian-invested dairy firm Tan Uc Viet Corp. (TUV) has signed a contract with the HCM City Institute of Hygiene and Public Health to conduct regular quality checks of its products.
TUV general director Tony Tu said this at a function held to mark TUV’s 10th anniversary on Saturday.
On the occasion, TUV was also awarded the ISO9001:2000 quality accreditation by US-based Intertek. It also obtained the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certification for adopting a systematic preventive approach to food safety.
TUV has invested VND30 billion (US$1.7 million) in its factory in HCM City’s Tan Tao Industrial Park to produce milk powder under its Arti brand. It also distributes several foreign products including Harvey Fresh Milk of Australia.
