Petrolimex gas gains the most in a month on profit

Petrolimex Gas Joint-Stock Corp., a petroleum and downstream petro-chemical industry maintenance provider, rose the most in almost a month after saying first-half pretax profit beat its target for the year.

The Hanoi-based Petrolimex Gas had pretax profit of VND39.5 billion (US$2.2 million) in the first half, according to a statement on its website Wednesday.

The figure was 127 percent of its full-year target, the company said in the statement. It didn’t provide a comparative figure for the previous year.

Petrolimex Gas had forecast pretax profit of VND31 billion ($1.8 million) and net profit of VND27 billion (1.5 million) this year, according to a separate statement on its website.
