MTG: Explanation for profit in quarter 2/2009

MT Gas Joint Stock Company (MTG: MT GAS) has explained the business result of quarter 2/2009 affected some reasons as follow:

1. The LPG price in the world decreased in April 2009, which affected the local LPG price and inventories at the end of March 2009. And the cost of inventories at the end of March 2009 was higher than the internal price at April 2009. Therefore, April revenue decreased. However, in May and June 2009, the company restructured the inventory list and controlled business expenses, which made revenue increased sharply.

2.The securities market had a good tendency. The company held stock codes with prices higher than at the end of 2008. The company sold some stocks in quarter 2/2009 and reversed VND1,968,645,000 of provision for the remaining stocks.
