Firm fined for employing unlicensed foreign workers
The Dong Nai Province Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has fined Cong Thanh Cement Company in Nhon Trach District a total VND5 million (US$281) for using 182 foreign workers without a license.
The department said Tuesday the cement company in Phuoc Khanh Commune is no exception. It said a total of 5,743 foreigners are currently working in the province and nearly 2,000 don’t have labor permits. Most of them are employed in industrial parks.
The provincial department said it has sent letters to all enterprises that employ foreigners and asked them to apply for licenses by July 15.
