HOSE announces the record date for a ballot as follows:

* Name of the listed firm: Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Services Joint Stock Company

* Stock symbol:   PVD

* Stock type:       Common stock

* Par value:          VND10,000      

* Ex-right date:     29/06/2009 (In case of put-through trading with volume from 100,000 shares and above on 29/06/2009 and 30/06/2009, sellers will not receive the right)

* Record date:      01/07/2009

* Purpose: Doing a ballot for the following issues:

- Investing the Tender Assist Drilling Rig – TAD

- Signing the contract of providing drilling services for TAD with the Eastern Ocean Petrolimex Management Company (*) belonging to the Vietnam Petrolimex Corporation.

- Listing PVD stock on the Singapore Stock Exchange

Viet Nam Securities Depository – Hochiminh Branch will temporarily suspend the depository activities for PVD on 30th June, 1st & 2ndJuly 2009.
