Vietnam’s woodwork showcased at Las Vegas trade fair

Vietnamese woodwork displayed at the National Hardware Show 2009 in Las Vegas , Nevada, drew the attention of local and international visitors.

The show, opened on May 5, also attracted exhibitors from Germany , China , the Republic of Korea , India , Indonesia and Thailand .

Twelve businesses from Vietnam ’s woodwork industry have joined the fair, as part of a plan to promote the country’s exports in 2009 by the Industry and Trade Ministry’s Trade Promotion Department.

According to the US Department of Commerce, Vietnam earned 1.42 billion USD from woodwork export to the US . The Southeast Asian country imported wooden materials worth 112 million USD from the market.
