REE: Explanation for business result in Q1/2009

Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE) has explained business result in Q1/2009 as follow:

* At the end of 2008 (31/12/2008), the company deducted for the provision of securities devaluation for investment on both listing market and OTC with total value of VND467 billion. The total amount of the provision till 31/12/2008 was VND520.7 billion.

* In Q1/09, the company restructured its investment portfolio at the time of increasing price on the securities market. Thus, financial activities of the company earned VND23.9 billion. Total profit before tax of the whole company in Q1/09 was VND79.09 billion.
