AGF: Explanation for the fluctuation of business result in Q1/2009

An Giang Fisheries Import & Export Joint Stock Company (AGF: AGIFISH Co.) explained the fluctuation of business result in Quarter 1/2009 as follows:

* Revenue in Quarter 1/2009 was lower than Quarter 1/2008 due to the global recession, decrease in demand of big markets such as Europe and Oceania, and the pause of exporting Vietnam aquatic products to Russia since December 2008.          

* Profit in Quarter 1/2009 was lower than Quarter 1/2008 because the following reasons: (1): Sales decrease; (2): The securities market had not recovered until March 31st 2009, so the company had to make provision for securities devaluation.
