Vietnam attractive to Australian investors

Vietnam remains an attractive destination for Australian investors in the next 10-15 years, head of a delegation of Australian business leaders to Vietnam, Richard Woolcott, has affirmed.

The Australian businessman gave the comment in an interview granted to Lao Dong (Labour) newspaper on April 19.

He went on to say that Vietnam has dealt with the economic crisis better than other countries and has showed signs of recovering quickly.

Woolcott also predicted that the country would enjoy a growth rate of at least 3.1 percent and would continue to create good opportunities for Australian investors.

According to Woolcott, who is also director of the Asia Society AustralAsia Centre, this is the third time the Centre has sent a business delegation to Vietnam.
