VIBank targets 74 pct jump in pretax profit
Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank said it is targeting a 74 percent increase in pretax profit this year.
The Hanoi-based bank wants to lift pretax profit to VND400 billion (US$22.5 million) from VND230 billion in 2008, it said in an e-mailed statement Tuesday. The bank did not say how it may reach the goal.
Total assets of VIBank, as the lender is known, are expected to rise to VND40 trillion ($2.26 billion) from last year’s VND34.7 trillion.
