Regional business conference ends in HCM City
The 19th Asian Business Conference, with the theme of “Identifying Challenges to Asia, and Vietnam’s New Role” concluded in Ho Chi Minh City on April 24.
The meeting, co-hosted by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Asia Society, brought together close to 1,100 delegates, including government officials, businesspeople, economists and representatives from communication agencies and international organisations from Asian countries and territories.
During the course of the three-day conference, the participants discussed a wide range of issues such as the global economic crisis and its long-term impacts on Asia and the world, the US’s economic and trade policies’ impacts on Asia, and ways to strengthen the global financial system.
Also high on the agenda were sustainable growth in Asia, the future of Asian cities, the capabilities of future generations of Asian businessmen, and the development of Asian enterprises with Vietnam.
