Key township project gathers momentum
Phu My Hung Corporation has unveiled a new commercial complex in its township project.
The corporation has introduced the first phase of the 150,000-square-metre Crescent complex in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City that will cost $200 million and be launched in July, featuring 300 premium serviced apartments, 10,000sqm of office space and 20,000sqm of waterfront retail space.
The remaining blocks, including Crescent Plaza and three apartment buildings, will start construction in late 2009 and be launched in the end of 2010. The apartments range from one to four bedrooms, and have fitness centres, two swimming pools, squash courts and gardens featured in each apartment block.
There will be over 210 specialty stores, an array of restaurants and cafes, an eight-screen cineplex with over 3,000sqm of entertainment areas and community spaces such as the Starlight Bridge and the pedestrian waterside boardwalk.
Rent for retail spaces would be around $25-70sqm and from $1,800 per unit for serviced apartments, said Brett Ashton, managing director of Savills Vietnam – sole leasing and management agent for the project.
“We hope to revolutionalise the way Vietnamese live, shop, work and rest,” said Frances Ba, Phu My Hung Corporation management board chairperson, adding that combining the preserved landscape of the banks of the Crescent Lake and the modern streetscape of a contemporary high-class development.
