Bien Hoa Sugar expects to become profitable in 2009

Bien Hoa Sugar Joint-Stock Co., a maker of refined sugar and wine, said it expects to report a profit this year after posting a net loss in 2008.

The company, based in the southern province of Dong Nai, expects to record a profit of VND45.6 billion (US$2.6 million), according to a statement on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange’s website. It did not give a reason for the forecast.

Bien Hoa posted a loss of VND43 billion in 2008, according to the statement.
