Almost all stocks gain, VN-Index exceeds 340 points

The domestic stock market opened the week with another impressive session. The VN-Index gains 4.6%, equivalent to 14.96 points to close at 340.01 points.

Overwhelming bids from investor pushed up the prices of listed stocks, having ended the session, 176 out of the total 181 listed stocks gained.

Of the 176 gainers, 156 hit their ceiling prices. Only three stocks suffered losses while two others stayed still.

Nearly 24.3 million shares were traded via order matching for VND 599 billion. Investors also negotiated to trade over 3.6 million other shares, including 230,000 bonds, for VND 105 billion, bringing the total market trade volume and value to 27.9 million shares and VND 704 billion.

The HASTC-Index of the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre also increased vigorously, up 6.59% or 7.82 points to close at 126.4.

The trading board was lit in green as only 3 out of the total 177 listed stocks dropped, three others reported no trade and 171 remaining stocks moved up. Investors changed hands 11.86 million shares worth VND 275 billion.
