Both bourses suffer end-week decline
Both the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange and the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre saw declines on the last day of trading this week, for the second consecutive day.
The VN-Index fell by 0.42 points (0.16 percent), closing at 266.62 points.
A total of 16.65 million shares valued at 330.15 billion VND (18.8 million USD) were traded throughout the day, down 48.29 percent and 48.34 percent, respectively, against the previous day.
Of the 179 shares and fund certificates listed on the HOSE, 63 rallied, 71 fell, and 42 remained static; three saw no transactions at all.
Compared to last week, the VN-Index climbed 15.18 points, or 6.04 percent.
At the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre, there was also a slight decline of 0.73 points (0.76 percent), closing at 95.57 points.
However, thanks to a week of busy trading, the HaSTC rose by 6.9 points against the previous week.
11.16 million shares, totaling 211.3 billion VND (12 million USD), changed hands throughout the day./.
