Viettel ranks 83rd of world’s 100 largest cell phone brands
World Cellular Information Service based in the UK has announced the world’s 100 largest providers of cell phone services, including the Viettel as the only Vietnamese representative.
The Viettel brand name has an estimated value of US$536 million and is placed 83rd. In terms of revenue, Viettel ranks 94th.
The total value of the 100 brand names is US$318 billion.
With this ranking, Viettel has surpassed SingTel and StarHub (Singapore), DiGi (Malaysia), and Indosat (Indonesia), which are well-known cellular companies in the region.
Viettel is expected to earn about VND32,000 billion in revenue by the end of 2008.
