RoK, Vietnam to boost cooperation in stock markets
The Korea Exchange, Inc (KRX) and the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HASTC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Hanoi on Nov. 14, agreeing to boost mutual cooperation between both markets.
Under the MoU, both sides are to share information in the areas of market supervision and management in order to enhance the development of both markets.
The KRX will give training assistance to Vietnamese enterprises that are looking to mobilise international capital through listing on the Korean stock exchange.
The HASTC will cooperate with the KRX to guide Vietnamese businesses in the procedures and processes necessary for listing on the KRX.
The two sides will also organise seminars on requirements for Vietnamese enterprises that want to be listed on the KRX.
HASTC Managing Director Tran Van Dung said that this event marks a new stage in the HASTC's cooperation with international stock markets. The KRX is managing the world’s 17 th largest stock market in terms of transaction volume while the HASTC has 155 listed companies with a total market capitalisation of approximately 57 trillion VND.
