MHC: Business result in Q3/08

Hanoi Maritime Holding Company (MARINA HANOI) has explained business result in Q3/08 as follows:

* Profit after tax: - (VND13,528,012,490)

* Accumulative profit of 9 months 2008: - (VND4,578,326,081)

Reason:

* In order to ensure of leasing vessels in the foreign markets, the company invested to maintain and fix them. During this time, there was no revenue.

* In Q3/08, the company transformed its branches in Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, HCMC and Can Tho into 2 subsidiaries. Therefore, expense fees increased.

* Although there were difficulties in Q3/08, the Board management of the company is expected to reach the plan of 2008 which was passed in the shareholders’ meeting on June 20th 2008.
