Dell group supports Vietnamese small-and medium-sized businesses

The US Dell Inc Group, specialising in manufacturing computer hardware has announced a development strategy for Vietnam, which focuses on Vietnamese small- and medium- sized businesses (SMB).

Dell marketing manager for South Asia, Catherin Lian, said that developing SMB is one of five top priorities for Dell and Vietnam has many SMBs, which makes it well suited to Dell’s development strategy.

Dell has recently introduced Vostro laptops which are designed for SMB managers in developing countries. Through Partner Direct programme, Dell began developing a distribution network in Vietnam, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City. This network will create a firm foundation for Dell to supply other products to SMBs in the future.

Ms Lian said that Vietnamese information technology market is promising with a number of opportunities for investors. She added that Dell is developing well in Vietnam although it started operating in the country only four months ago but will further develop in Vietnam in the future.
