China bank cards accepted
China UnionPay (CUP), Vietcombank and Smartlink Card Service Co launched a bank card system on Oct. 23 which allows millions of Chinese people with CUP cards to take money out of their accounts at over 10,000 permitted transaction bureau’s and 1.000 Vietcombank ATM’s in Vietnam.
The cooperation with CUP is expected to bring opportunity for Vietnamese goods and service providers to reach the 1.3 billion person strong Chinese consumer market.
To date Vietcombank has accepted transactions with six international bank cards, including MasterCard, Visa, American Express, JCB, Diners Club and UnionPay.
