Another private aviation firm applies to operate
The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam said that it has completed the assessment of the Mekong Aviation Joint Stock Company (Mekong Aviation)’s application for doing air transport business.
If it is approved by the Transport and Communication Ministry, the 200 billion VND (11.7 million USD) Mekong Aviation will be the third private aviation firm in the country after Vietjet Airlines and Speed Up.
Mekong Aviation having a fleet of more than 10 Bombadier, Embraer and ATR 72 planes, plans to begin operation in 2010.
