VN-Index down 450 points, HASTC-Index below 150 points
The indexes of both the northern and southern bourses continued to suffered sharp losses today. The VN-Index closed below 450 points while the HASTC-Index also dropped below 150 points.
Offers far exceeded bids, thus a majority of stocks suffered losses. Liquidity was also reported to be reduced.
Ending the session today, VN-Index lost 18.71 points or 4.1% to close at 437.24. Only nearly 14.4 million units were traded at VND 521 billion.
Only 12 stocks listed on the southern bourse reported gains while 149 suffered loss and two others stayed still.
Investors on the northern bourse also paid attention to selling orders. Offers were far exceeded bids. Thus, only five stocks were gainers while 141 were decliners out of the total 149 listed stocks.
The HASTC-Index closed below 150 points at 144.74 as it lost 10.34 points or 6.67%. Trading volume also reduced compared to the previous session, with nearly 8 million units traded for VND 290 billion.
