Tariff for paper imported from ASEAN to be reduced

Import tariff for newspaper paper and carton paper will be reduced from 5% to 3%, according to new adjustments by the Ministry of Finance.

The new import tariff will be applied from September 15.

The Ministry of Finance has just issued a decision on adjustments of special preferential import tariff for some product categories in Vietnam's special preferential import tariff list. This is to implement the Common Effective Preferential Tariff (CEPT) by ASEAN countries in the 2008-2013 period.
