Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Services Joint Stock Company (PV DRILLING) has informed of the record date for holding an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting as follows:

* Par value: VND10,000

* The ex-right date: 17/09/2008

* The record date: 19/09/2008

* Purpose: do a ballot for the plan of merging the PVD Investment Corporation into PV DRILLING.

* Location: Hochiminh City

* Expected time: from October 2008 to November 2008.

Viet Nam Securities Depository – Hochiminh Branch will temporarily suspend the depository activities for PVD on September 18th , 19th  & 22th 2008.
