HSI: Explanation for business result in Q2/08

General Materials Biochemistry Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (MF JSC) has explained business result in Q2/08 as follows:

* Profit after tax Q1/08: VND14,321,511,009

* Profit after tax Q2/08: VND9,469,556,023

Profit Q2/08 decreased 33.8% compared to that in Q1/08:

* Increase of fertilizer price led to increase of product price, thus sales decreased.

* Decrease of consumption in Mekong Delta in Q2/08.
