Gold price reaches VND18.34 million per tael
The domestic gold price rose sharply to VND18.34 million per tael on September 23 due to a strong rise in global gold and oil prices.
SJC gold was traded at VND18.22 million per tael (purchasing) and at VND18.34 million (sale), VND570,000 per tael more than the previous day. Meanwhile gold prices at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company were VND17.99 million (purchasing) and VND18.30 million per tael (sale).
The domestic gold price was still VND100,000 per tael higher than the international gold price which rose to US$900/oz late Monday evening. The price of crude oil for October delivery in New York also increased by US$16.37 to US$120.92 per barrel.
