Agribank assigned to serve ADB-funded project

The Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development of Viet Nam (Agribank) was assigned to serve an ADB-funded technical assistance project in central Thanh Hoa city, according to the State Bank governor’s decision on September 4.

The 2.4 million USD project aims to improve living standards in urban and suburban areas of the province and contribute to the local socio-economic development.

Of the sum, the Asian Development Bank provides 2 million USD as non-refundable aid from the Japanese government’s poverty reduction fund.

The project will help build small-scale infrastructure such as village roads, water treatment system and health centres.

It is scheduled to be executed in four years.
